Edit custom HTML and images on your live site (in-line editor)
If you built part of your site with custom HTML and CSS, you can now edit that content right on the live page. No need to hunt through raw HTML every time you want to fix a headline or swap a photo.
The in-line editor works on text and images you placed in:
- HTML blocks in Media Library
- Title blocks on gallery sections (the HTML area above or below your thumbs)
Turn the in-line editor on or off
- Open your site and click PHOTOFOLIO ADMIN at the top.
- Go to ACCOUNT → SITE DISPLAY.
- Under ADMIN OPTIONS, find INLINE TEXT EDITOR.
- Set the toggle to ON to use in-line editing, or OFF if you prefer the classic HTML editor only.
Edit text on the live page
- Make sure INLINE TEXT EDITOR is ON.
- While logged into admin, open the page where your custom HTML appears.
- Click the text you want to change. A blue outline and toolbar will appear.
- Use B, I, size controls, and link tools as needed.
- Click SAVE when you are done, or CANCEL to discard.
Replace an image in your HTML layout
- Click the image in your custom HTML block or title block.
- Click REPLACE in the toolbar (or CHOOSE AN IMAGE).
- Drag and drop a file from your computer, or click to browse.
- Click DONE when the new image is in place.
You can also use LAYOUT from the same toolbar when you need layout controls for that spot.
Good to know
- This is for content you already built with HTML and CSS in PhotoFolio. It does not replace normal gallery uploads or DESIGNS → Layout settings.
- If you do not see click-to-edit on the live site, check that INLINE TEXT EDITOR is ON and that you are viewing the site while logged into admin.
- Heavy sitewide custom code in Site Head or Site Body still belongs in those admin areas. The in-line editor is for HTML blocks and section title blocks on the page.
- Always click SAVE on the toolbar before leaving the page, or your text changes will not stick.
