How to Set Your Social Media Text and Preview Image
When you share your site on platforms like Facebook or X (Twitter), the preview image and accompanying text are important for making a strong first impression. Here’s how to customize that:
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Log into your account and under PHOTOFOLIO ADMIN > ACCOUNT > SOCIAL you can locate the needed settings.
2. Enable the Facebook Preview Output by finding the OUTPUT FACEBOOK METADATA Preview Image setting and toggling it on.
3. Upload your chosen preview image. This image will represent your entire site, so pick something that captures your overall brand or style.
4. Customize the preview text. You can enter a short title and description that will appear alongside the image when your site is shared.
Additional Notes
Only one image can be set to represent the entire site. If you prefer not to select one manually, you can allow the system to choose a preview image automatically. In most cases, it will default to the first image in your gallery.
Unique preview images per gallery are not supported unless the system randomly assigns them.
You can use Facebook’s Sharing Debugger to test how your link will appear when shared: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug
